New Section: Haiku Poetry

I have long been intrigued by Haiku poetry.  It seems to mesh well with the way I think and observe nature.  So, here goes my attempt to try it with my own hand...

“Above all, a haiku should be very simple and free of all poetic trickery and make a little picture and yet be as airy and graceful as a Vivaldi pastorella.” —Jack Kerouac

New Publication: Satori Colorado 2009

Satori Colorado 2009Perhaps a little late, but hopefully better than never, I have published my first fine art photography calendar entitled "Satori Colorado 2009".

In this first edition of the Satori series, I hope to impart that flash of insight, presence, and understanding (Satori) of the natural world that I experienced while capturing these images. It is a celebration and appreciation of beauty in all forms and a reminder of our connectedness with each other and the universe.

10% of proceeds will be contributed to the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE) in order to promote stewardship and responsible enjoyment of the natural places we cherish.

With your help, I hope to establish this as a tradition for years to come and add many other locations.

Best wishes for 2009,

Paul Schlarman
